Hello All,

I was hoping someone may shed some light on this question:

Realistically, how much effort is it to create (duplicate/modify) an application in Maximo 5.2?  And if it's possible, please give me some pointers to start.

Thanks in advance,

I'm afraid I don't have Maximo 5 experience. I know itrs much harder than in version 6. You will need to duplicate the jsp files etc.

Sorry to be so vague.

thanks amdisuk,

i know that it's possible to duplicate one of the original apps, then do the modifications on the jsps and maybe extend some of the classes...  though there may be an easier (less intensive) way...

worth of try...

thanks again...

I cloned a lot of Maximo 5 applications and it is very easy...........
you have to execute a simple script on the maximo appserver machine like this:
cloneapp -fmxserver.properties -nWOPDL -oWOTRACK -mWO -s15

where
WOPDL is the name of the cloned app
WOTRACK is the name of the original app
WO is thw name of the module
15 is the menu position number

obviously you have also to do the necessary jsp customization on the cloned directory and/or customize the classes....
