I have MAXADMIN rights and we have many queries we need to update, but it appears our instance is configured to only allow the original user who created teh query the ability to edit the saved query and make changes.
1) How can I determine WHO is the original author?
2) How can I take control over the query - especially if that user no longer works for us?
3) How can I otherwise make the needed edits and move on with my day?
4) Is there a global paramenter I can set to allow anyone to edit any query - and then of course reset to freeze the edits?
Currently these queries are linked to result sets on start center templates and we want to update these start centers with revised content in the form of better queries.
Ideas?

Can you tgry logging in as MAXAMIN as opposed to someone with MAXADMIN rights? There could be a problem there. I have worked with stored queries before with no problems.
If all else fails maybe you can remove them and create new ones?

MAXADMIN does not work - seems you need to be the person who wrote the query.
Is there a single table I can backend change the query ownership with a simple edit?

yes, the QUERY table
the OWNER field is the user who wrote(saved) the query.... chenge this value to set the new owner.
