Basic Report Run Question

So, I'm a maximo noob  but I'm learning! I wanted to know if anyone could help me out with acquiring this information:

1) work orders: days start to completion (that is the average life of work orders)
2) Backlog: CW > 4 weeks (# of jobs)
3) Avg. Age of non-PM work orders

everytime I try to search for each of this fields, I get an error. Is there a specific way i need to input the date i.e 06/01/2010 or 6/1/10 and so on. ANYTHING WILL HELP
