Hello there,

I am using Maximo 7.1 with WebSphere and DB2 on Windows 2003. I get the "HTTP 500 internal server error" while trying to run any report (using built-in BIRT reporting).
I already tried solutions from this link https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=314129&tstart=0&messageID=14423265
Would really appreciate any help on this.

Best regards,
Tomasz

I saw this online and found the cause of the problem..
Java 2 security is enabled in WebSphere but permission is not given to Maximo to read properties/jar files.

In order to properly start the BIRT report engine, Java 2 security must be disabled or permission should be given to Maximo to read properties/jar file.

Hi Ethen,

I am having this problem as well, but appart from this, I am getting a very similar problem when I try to import a BIRT Report via the Select Action drop-down menu in Maximo 7.1.

I found in a couple of websites the information you say to solve the problem. I checked my Java 2 security and it is disabled, but I don't know how to give permission to Maximo to read properties/jar file.

Does anyone know how to do that?

Thank you in Advance Wink

We had the same problem and we needed to give all user full access rights to the database where eclipse was installed?
