security group wise printer assign

Hi friends,

can we assign a printer to specific security group in maximo. like maxuser group have printer p101 and maximo group have printer p111

now some "abc" person is user of maxuser group and "xyz" is user of maximo group.
now if abc login to maximo thru the computer 101 and print workorder detail report
then the print should go to printer p101
and if xyz login thru same computer 101 and print workorder list report then the print should go to printer p111.


can we do this type of setting in maximo
(i know direct print n scheduled print)

Hey I dont think you can do that. Maximo is only used for asset management its not a replacement for windows.

Maximo only governs with the data of asset, its nohow linked with the acutal data.
What you are talking about is mixing up maximo asset with the real assets which is not possible.
maximo is used to manage the asset and the data of asset but not actually working upon the asset as the case you are talking about.
