Can anyone explain to me how Maximo handles automatic WO generation from PMs in Maximo 7? For Meter based frequencies, when the meter frequency is reached it seems that Maximo generates WOs automatically if the "Generate WO When Meter Frequency is Reached?' checkbox is checked. There is no need to setup and activate the PMWOGEN Crontask.

Does Maximo do the same thing for time based frequencies? Or does it require the Crontask to be setup and activated in order to generate WOs?

If so, how does it work cos I'm not able to predict the WO generation based on my frequency criteria. I already have the "Automatic Work Order Generation" option checked at the Site level in the Organizations application.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Maximo only generated frequency based PM. and As fas as I know cron task is already set up for this..

you can also generate WO based on some criteria.. just check the PM options in organization application.. where d options are like

Automatic PM WO generation?
WO Generation Where Clause

write your condition in where clause..

hope it helps..
