Edit History Work Order action in WO application

Hello Everyone,

How do I get the short description field to unlock when using the "Edit History Work Order" action in the select action menu of the Work Order application in Maximo 7? This field is not listed as one of the uneditable fields when using this action. A number of fields do unlock for edit but not the short description field. Any help will be appreciated.

well.. the edit history option is available to edit the important details like important dates, jobs etc..
Its not used to edit wo description.

Well I dont understand if a wo description is not changed in whole cycle of WO why it needs to be changed when it got closed.
