How do you remove an Inventory Item from a Storeroom?
In other words - This particular storeroom will should never have this item in it again (but is not an obsolete item because other storerooms will have it)

After researching online I did the following:

I went to Inventory and found the item - then I selected the appropriate Storeroom.
I adjusted the current balance to 0. (I also tried by adjusting the physical count to 0.) I then reconciled the balance.
Then I went to Item Master and selected the Storerooms tab. I tried to remove the line with that Storeroom and I get an error message: BMXAA1899E - Cannot delete the inventory cost for this item.

Note that there are no open POs with this item and it is not listed as planned material.
Any thoughts?

delete the invvendor record from inventory..

I tried that. Inventory in that storeroom is at 0.  Reconcile balance has been done. Vendor record deleted.
Then when I go to Item Master and try to click the trashcan by that storeroom, I get.
BMXAA1900E - Cannot delete an inventory cost with associated balances.

The only way we've found to do it is zero balance, then delete the balance line.  Then, make the Item Obsolete in the Storeroom only.  Unfortunately, it will show up as "in" the storeroom if you look at the Item Master, but the status should show OBSOLETE.  IMO, IBM should have left the delete Item from Storeroom option...obsoleting stinks.  We are on Version 7.1.1.7.
I don't have the trashcan anymore...maybe you are on a different version.
