Hello,
I don't have a lot of experience in maximo 7.2. I stated work with work flow and I wonder if CRONTASK can kick Workflow??

yes it can.
in the crontask class use this statement:

((WorkFlowServiceRemote)MXServer.getMXServer().lookup("WORKFLOW")).initiateWorkflow("WFNAME", newWorkorder);

where WFNAME is the processname you want to start
