In the CREATESR app, I added a Textbox field under Reported By to display the Reported By Name. I am using Attribute = ReportedByName. How do I get it to autofill based on the ReportedBy data?

Thanks Ethen, I am still having issues and tried to attach screenshots, however, it only allows me 192kb so I will try to explain what I did.

1. Created domain called SC_REPORTEDNAME with the following values:
Object: PERSON
Validation Where Clause: personid = :reportedby
Source: DISPLAYNAME
Destination: REPORTEDBYNAME

2. In Database Configuration, In TICKET object, Attribute REPORTEBYNAME, I added domain SC_REPORTEDNAME and ran update Apply Configuration Changes

3.  Opened a new SR, the Reported By field autopopulates with my userid (this is an OOB functionality), however, the Reported By Name field is still empty.

remove all the other configurations..
Add a relationship to SR for as person with child object as person.
define the relationship as reportedby=:personid

in the reportedbyname field add person.displayname as attribute.

hope it helps..

and also you are supposed to add domain name to reportedby field not to reportedbyname field.

Did that and still didnt work....I was wondering does it matter if I add the domain to the TICKET or SR object?  Also, in App Designer, how can I tell for each object (textbox, multipart textbox, etc) what table the attribute is using?

Funny you mention this because I was able to create a relationship on the Ticket object that joins to the Person table to fetch the Displayname and it works.  However, in the ReportedByName field properties, I tried to add a value to LOOKUP using PERSON and PERSONNAME and during runtime when i click on the lookup, it brings up the dialog box but all the fields say "invalid binding".  Is it not possible to do lookups on attributes that are from relationships?

BTW, whats the difference in creating the relationship on the TICKET object instead of SR object?
