We have previously installed websphere on our server. This was a trial version which was recently unintsalled. I have been tasked with installing and configuring Maximo. When I access the launch pad and click on middleware, the installer takes me through some screens through I either click next or agree, it then tries to install the iBM Auonomic Deployment Engine and at this poitn errors out.

Some info:

Windows Sever 2008 using virtualization
Latest versions of Websphere and Maximo
Install files downloaded using odwnload director (do I need to combine some of these folders for the install to work?)

Error Message: CTGIN9008E The following errors were encountered during installation of IBM Autonomic DeploymentEngine. Review the messages below for details. There are no messages below this meessage. The message box is blank.

Could be numerous reasons for the failure. You can get the cause from the logs, you can find them in ../IBM/SMP/logs/CTG* (Message or Error). Since its failing in ADE install, check if ADE is already present in your workstation and logged in user has access to modify system registries.
