Dear Maxusers!
We’re facing with a serious problem, it’s we can not start IBM Maximo after installation.
Follow the IBM Installatiion Guide, we’ve done these activities as listed hereafter:
-   Install IBM Websphere
-   Intsall IBM HTTP Server
-   Install IBM HTTP Server Plugin
-   Install IBM Maximo
-   Install Oracle, create table space, user id and create IBM database object with demo data(by running the maxinst.bat script)
-   Create Application Server, virtual host (we changed the default port – 9080 to 9550)
-   Create there Applications: ACWEB , MAXIMO   and MAXIMOHELP  and started them.
After finishing installation process, we pointed to http://maximoappsvr:9550/maximo to start IBM Maximo, but we failed
Here is our server configuration parameter:
-   Server name: maximoappsvr
-   OS: Windows 2003 Standard Edition SP2
-   IBM Websphere version: 6
-   Maximo version: 6.21
-   Oracle version: 10G
Could you help us to solve this problem.
I captured the screen that we found errors when start IBM Maximo
Many thanks,
Trong

Just because the arrows are green does not mean that Maximo is really running.  Check the server log file for details.   It's usually located under:

C:\IBM\Websphere\Appserver\profiles\Custom01\Logs\MAXIMOSERVER\SystemOut.log

You should try stopping Maximo and then re-starting to get a fresh set of log statements. You're looking for the phrase "MAXIMO ready for client connections".

Dear all and Al Menendez!
Thanks for your reply.
Follow your instruction, I’ve tried to stop and re-start IBM Maximo service(IBM WebSphere Application Server V6 - maximoappsvrCellManager01 and IBM WebSphere Application Server V6 - NodeAgent),
But I still can not start the Maximo.
There is the log lines in the SystemOut.log file located at: C:\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\Custom01\logs\MAXIMOSERVER

Hi there,

Well ..i think restarting u r application server wil be the best option...

I am not expert..just a suggestion..follow the steps sequentially...wellnot even sure it works on windows...i have performed these steps on AIX OS.

1)run startNode.sh (for AIX) or startNode.exe or .bat on windows.(search where this is located on windows,if it is.)
Then run startManager.sh,exe or bat..startManager will start all u r nodes and thus willmake u r webserver up and running and in turn will start Maximo.

I think u have installes u r database and web server and maximo on windows 2003 server .

Regards
Parth

Hai trongnh1,

one simple idea: Filesystem

Where ist the owner of the files (rights) and wich user do you use to start your application? The same as the owner or another one?

Greeting

mxes_installer....
