Work Order Status "INPRG" - when new work order added

Maximo 7.1

I am in Work Orders, Quick Reporting

When I click on the New Work Order icon, the work order comes up with a status of "INPRG" (In Progress). I want it to have a status of "WAPPR" (Waiting for Approval).

It used to work that way but then changed. Not sure how I messed it up. Can someone please tell me how to fix it back?

         I John, basically i am having 2 years of exp in Java/J2EE Technologies.
I own Deplpyment professional certified in TSRM V 7.1 and Tivoli Asset Management for IT V 7.1 (TAMIT).
 
Can any one please let me know is there any opportunities for this.
atleast let me know how will be the future of these products.
I mean shall i go with this products or back to JAVA/J2EE Technologies.

Quick reporting is a short cut version of WOT, the intention being that Labor can carry out work and report back instantly without the need of waiting for a WO to be approved. As such I think you will find that Mxo vanilla is configured to put all new Quick reporting WO's straight to status of INPRG. My suggestion is that if you do not want this then you only use full WOT and NOT quick reporting. JB.
