What method is called when you click on a tab?

Does anyone know what method is called when you click on a tab?  I have to set some stuff up before editing a record.  I have it working if I click on the record and it is opened in the main editing tab.  But if I don't select the record and go straight to the main tab, that is where I also need to add my code.  The only problem is that I can't find the method that is called.

em not sure what all the methods are called but save method is for sure called..

If i have not misunderstood, are you trying to do some stuff during the load of the page.? In that case you can write in the MBO's init method.

Another options would be to associate a databean and write your validation in Execute method of the bean.

Will update you with the details if i come across..
