I have a table domain on PO.oraclepo pulling data from a custom application tepponum.pponum. The lookup works properly (after editing lookups.xml). However, the field that is populated from the select value screen is the key attribute id from the custom application called tepponumid. The validation clause on the table domain is pponum = :oraclepo. Why can't I pull tepponum.pponum into PO.oraclepo? What am I missing?

Sorry I am not clear. Basically, the table domain is returning tepponumid (key attribute on the new application & object) to the field where the domain table is attached. I need it to return pponum to the field. Does the lookup decide what value is returned? This is where I get confused.

then you have to define a entry in maxlookup map table..
this entry defines which value has to be returned in which field..
