can anybody say how to track a flex field or customised field in front end from the back end(database) in maximo 7.i tried using maxattribute table but i am unable to identify that particular field in front end. the tables are for eg:labtrans

           If i understood your query correctly , then u r searching for a attribute where it has been placed in the front end. u can do one thing for this, export the application presentation and can search for the attribute, if that is used in that application u can get it.
         
            Few tables like MATRECTRANS are used in multiple applications, in that case better to search entire presentation. 
           One thing must be noted is that in maximo there are few un-used fileds, they have been provided so that they can be used in customizations. Make sure that the attribute u r searching donot fall in to this category.

generally the fields that are left for customization wont have any sensible name.. like eq01 eq12 etc..
