Hi All,

Here's another issue I've been trying to tackle.

In v5.2, since all the pages are written in jsp, we can extend/overwrite what columns are being downloaded/exported simply by adding/removing the column names on the list tab, with the main.jsp pages.

But since v6+, the jsp pages have been replaced by xml.  And what's been downloaded/exported (by clicking the download icon) are, by default, configured within the application designer.  Which is okay, if the numbers of columns desired do not exceed 6-8, obviously also dependent to the sizes of the columns.  But it can get a little messy, and a lot of scrolling to the right, if the number of columns displayed exceed far greater than the screen resolution.

My question is:
Is it possible to edit the v6 xmls (or js scripts) to imitate the functionality in v5.2?  If yes, how and where?

I really think it's possible, but need some startup help...

Thanks in advance,

Andrew

I don't have much time to investigate, but you can have a look at:
C:\Maximo\applications\maximo\maximouiweb\webmodule\webclient\controls\table\download.jsp

...hoping this helps !

Can you not just remove the column in the App designer?

Thanks All for your responses,

The problem is not removing the columns, but adding the columns to the download but hiding them in the list tab...

Here's a quick example:

1.) Show wonum, siteid, location, wostatus on the list tab
2.) Download wonum, siteid, location, wostatus, (wopriority, wotype) onto the excel file

Basically, wopriority and wotype are hidden until the download
