Dear all,

I am now installing the MAXIMO on a server, due to some reason, the server could not be accessed through port 80, in details, http://maximoserver/maximo could not be accessed. I have tried directly accessing the application server with default port 9080 successfully. However, the problem now is that the attachment could not be downloaded when I clicked the attachment link with the port 9080. I have tried using another port say 59080 in the IBM HTTP Server, the attachment could be accessed, but the maximo application cannot be accessed through 59080 correctly, when I type http://maximoserver:59080/maximo, a directory listing is shown only.

Any comments are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
sinva

Look on confiuration of http server in httpd.conf
For accessing application through 80 port check configuration virtual hosts in WAS, and virtual hosts wich use application.

In the maximo properties file specify

// Name of the machine and port hosting MXServer
mxe.hostname=maxappsrvr

and in websphere define the mxe ports as 9083 or 9084 and see if it works.

Dear asterix,

Thanks for your reply. I have checked that the httpd.conf is now listen to 59080. And the virtual hosts under Environment have been changed from 80 to 59080 and the configuration under Web Server has been changed to 59080 also. But the maximo still cannot be accessed through 59080. Anything I could try?

Thanks a lot.

Dear Ethen,

Thanks for your reply, I am not sure how to do "in websphere define the mxe ports as 9083 or 9084". And "mxe.hostname=maxappsrvr", do you mean to remove the port number in the file? Thanks.

yeah, remove the port no in the file. that way you can access it without port no.

in websphere under servers-> application servers you will see the J2EE server that hosts maximo..
click on that server and on right side you will see applications under application server.. There would be maximo.
click on Maximo and set the port there..
