Issue - Whenever user changes the RWO value in the surveillance application, user should get the warning message “You have changed RWO value of XXXX surveillance record. Please save the changes.”

I have solved this using rules manager, bt now i'm asked to write a custom class....and is there any other way to solve this problem.

no idea about maximo 5. But I guess you can do it by writing a field class if maximo 5 works the same way maximo 6 and 7 does

yes we can meet this requirement in maximo 5 by writing a field class on this RWO field. In the action method of this we can get the previous and present value of the field and based on those values we can throw a message. we need to add a record in the maxmessages table.
